VSAT
VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) is a satellite technology that enables real-time broadband communication in areas where traditional terrestrial methods are not available.
The word terminal is used to designate the end user equipment (telephone set, facsimile machine, television set, computer, etc.) which generates or accepts the traffic that is conveyed within VSAT networks.

A mesh topology is a network of multiple VSATs capable of communicating directly with each other without going through a central hub. In a mesh network, the Hub station performs only the monitoring and control functions. Mesh networks are suited for telephony applications. These have also been adopted to deploy point-to-point high speed links.
